With the increasing popularity of mobile phone wireless charging, new energy vehicles are gradually adding wireless charging functions. The charging head net found a new Chery wireless charging module, which is said to support 50W wireless charging. The wireless charging module has a built-in cooling fan, which blows cold air from the side for heat dissipation, reduces temperature rise, and brings a fast wireless charging experience. The following is the disassembly of this Chery wireless charging module to see the internal design and materials.

 

CHERY's mobile phone wireless charging module is in the shape of a cuboid. The upper and lower parts are plastic shells and integrally formed aluminum alloy heat sinks, which are fixed by buckles.

 

 

There is a cooling fan at the bottom of the mobile phone wireless charging module, which can actively dissipate heat and reduce the temperature rise during charging.

 

After having a basic understanding of this wireless charging module, let's disassemble this wireless charging module to see the internal design and materials.

 

 

 

 

Inside the PCB cover, solder three NTC thermistors and connectors.

 

The thermistor is connected to the motherboard through a connector for overheating protection.

 

Five alloy inductors are welded on one side of the PCBA module, a synchronous buck-boost controller, four corresponding buck-boost MOS tubes, one MCU for wireless charging control, one wireless charging master control and two integrated power-level chips.

 

Weld the communication chip, six MOS transistors and NPO resonant capacitors for coil switching on the back.

 

The main control MCU of the wireless charger is from NXP NXP, model FS32K142H, built-in M4F core, running frequency 80MHz, built-in 256KB FLASH and 32KB RAM.

 

 

The 16.00MHz passive clock crystal oscillator external to the MCU chip. The external memory of the chip comes from ST STMicroelectronics, model 24C08.

 

 

The wireless charging integrated power stage chip comes from Voda Semiconductor, model NU8040Q, which is an integrated full-bridge power stage chip optimized for wireless charging transmission. The chip integrates full-bridge FET and driver, bootstrap circuit, 5V integrated DC/DC power supply, 3.3V LDO and non-destructive current detection, which meets the AEC-Q100 standard.

 

 

The wireless charging coils are stacked to meet different placement positions of mobile phones.

Chery's wireless charging module has a black appearance design, and the module adopts a one-piece aluminum alloy shell, which has good shielding and heat dissipation performance. There is a fan at the bottom of the module, which is fixed by screws to speed up the air circulation and take away the heat generated by wireless charging. This wireless charging module has a high-power wireless charging output capability, which significantly shortens the charging time and is more suitable for fragmented time use while driving.

 

 

The charging head network learned through dismantling that this wireless charging module uses NXP FS32K142H and Yichong Semiconductor CPSQ8100 wireless charging master internally, and is equipped with two Voda Semiconductor NU8040Q for wireless charging. The built-in Nanxin Technology SC8701Q buck-boost controller performs buck-boost voltage conversion and supplies power for the wireless charging power stage. The built-in MPS MP2459 is used for wireless charging main control power supply. Built-in NXP NXP TJA1043 for CAN bus communication.

 

 

 

The wireless charging module has three built-in charging coils, which can meet the needs of charging in different positions of the mobile phone. The built-in alloy inductor is used for filtering, and the corresponding wireless charging power level and inductor are connected to the shell with a thermal pad to dissipate heat, and a built-in fan accelerates air circulation to reduce the temperature rise during operation. There are three thermistors built into the wireless charging cover to detect temperature liter, the internal workmanship and materials are solid.
